Grih Pravesh Puja

Description

Grih Pravesh Puja is suggested before using any new or old, rented or owned piece of space/ flat/ building or home. The Vastu Dev is the deity of any piece of land used for work or residing, So we need to please him so that any ill Vastu effects are removed and that dwelling or residential unit brings good fortune to the dwellers.

When to perform : The Grihpravesh puja should be done preferably by selecting an auspicious Muhurt. The muhurt plays an important role which is selected according to the user’s kundali or Name.

It is said in MatsyaPuran–

एतद्बास्तूपशमनं कृत्वा कर्म्म समाचरेत् । प्रासादभवनोद्यानप्रारम्भे परिवर्त्तने ॥
पुरवेश्मप्रवेशेषु सर्व्वदोषापनुत्तये । इति वास्तूपशमनं कृत्वा सूत्रेण वेष्टयेत् ॥

Means, Vastu Shanti should be done, before starting work on any mansion, building. For removing vastu dosh before entering the house Vastu Shanti should be done and with thread Vastu should be encircled.
